After the pre-opening ceremony that took place Sunday, December 6 in the presence of President Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Evans Paul and Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries , the Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort & Spa was officially opened on Monday.

Located in a park of more that 55 hectares on the coast of Arcadins, this hotel is the first all inclusive in Haiti (airfare, stay and excursions). After more than $ 8 million investment, this tourist complex of 408 international standard rooms on the beach, has 3 restaurants capable of serving 800 clients, 2 outdoor pools, 2 full gym, a spa, marina and water attractions.

All suppliers who will stock up on local produce the Hotel Royal Decameron (more than 2,500 meals a day when the hotel is at full capacity) are Haitian companies, creating nearly 500 jobs in addition to 420 new local jobs constituting hotel staff.

While the Decameron announced in early October that it had already 1,500 bookings for the month of December 2015, it is now more than 7,000 reservations that are registered until February 2016, according to information from the Minister of Tourism.

The Decameron Hotel Haiti is already present in brochures with more than 21 excursion sites, remind the Minister Villedrouin, which sees significant economic benefits for the region, saying that every tourist could spend between 80 and 100 dollars in the communities at each excursion.
