‘All men dream, but not equally. Some men dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds, and wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act   their dreams with open eyes, to make them happen.’
  1. E. Lawrence
My good friend Jovenel was a “Dreamer of the Day,” who worked his dreams with open eyes to make them happen.
In retrospect, Jovenel Moise’s Presidency will be seen as the most productive since Duvalier, if only the Baraj Maryon Project is taken into account.
Jovenel was unselfishly committed to Haiti and its people, with a special focus upon the vast Traditional Society that has been left out of things since Independence in 1804.
He was “one of them!”
His assassination has opened a Pandora’s Box that will see the massive Traditional Society finally have a focus upon the electoral process. They will hold the power in the next electoral cycle this fall.
Lobbyists in Washington have no effect in this massive segment of Haiti’s population.
