September 2, 2013We are frightened at the foolishness that is generated by people within the Palace. After all, President Martelly is supposed to control the majority in the Chamber of Deputies. Why then is he allowing this arm of the government an opportunity to call Prime Minister Lamothe before it with the demand he answer questions about things that – if anyone is guilty – it is President Michel Martelly and previous members of his other governments.
Just last week there was a major explosion, within the Palace, when President Martelly learned of Sophia’s plan to run a diaspora candidate against Senator Lambert in Jacmel, not that anyone has much of a chance against Lambert.
It is the thought that counts and Queen Sophia was going to chop the head of Martelly’s close associate.
And then her father Bebe St. Remy is going to run against Youri Latortue, in the Artibonite.
Two of Sophia’s people against the two key Martelly advisers who have some practical use and no action against the Mayard-Pauls, who have no practical use, at all.
Sophia hates Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, as do the Mayard-Pauls, and others inside the Palace who detest Lamothe’s efforts to run a real government with some integrity. It is the integrity thing that upsets the criminals because there is less to steal and more for the use of the Haitian community.
There is always a danger that those close to Martelly will play upon his ego and paranoia to turn him against his good friend, and long-time associate Laurent Lamothe. This interpellation by the Chamber of Deputies is a harmless game unless President Martelly is the one behind this game.
Those against Martelly, and there are some heavy-hitters in the business community, and always Aristide, hope that Laurent Lamothe will be thrown out with a non-confidence vote.
Then they will destroy Martelly for, without Lamothe, Martelly is a lame duck.
Is President Michel Martelly smart enough to understand how he is being played? We hope so. However, we are not optimistic.
The Nation is in grave danger as Queen Sophia puts on her executioner’s outfit.
The International Community will see any move against Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe as a direct and planned move to effectively derail any chance of an election within the next year, if at all.

Having once been a member of the diplomatic community it would be my advice, to Prime Minister Lamothe, to refuse any further participation in the Parliamentary games of a few people. He must focus upon the work that must be done. He is doing a good job and cannot allow a few imbeciles the chance the ruin everything for the nation.
It is really time for the Mob to visit the residences of their elected representatives to demand that they act on behalf of the nation, and not on behalf of their own personal pocketbooks.
I can perceive an indirect circle to non-confidence on PM Lamothe by damaging his position in Planification. A failure there would be non-confidence against his person – PERIOD!
Martelly will then say he must replace him and we will receive the criminal Bellerive or others.
Protect Laurent lamothe and protect Haiti!

If everything reported here is true, why does he still want to collaborate with these ingrates? He should let them fall into the grave their own graves and resign. At least that’ll show us of his good intentions and integrity for Haiti.
