One wonders if he will move against Wyclef Jean, which would grab the international media’s attention. He could move against other threatening candidates, such as Jean-Henry Ceant, a notaire who initiated Aimer Haiti (Love Haiti) last fall. Aimer Haiti is a non-political movement to save Haiti. It has been focusing upon important social issues and had created a hospital before the January 12 earthquake. This was lucky for Haiti since it was one of the few facilities available after the disaster.

Hundreds of people were treated on a 24 hour basis. Many lives were saved.

Now, the Aimer Haiti hospital continues its service to the Haitian community. Its team of local, and volunteer American, teams deal with hundreds of patients each day. Every morning about 500 wait outside the gates. Most of these are bringing children for treatment. Many have never seen a doctor before.

There is no certainty the Jean-Henry Ceant is, or will be a candidate for the presidency. However, it would be a foolish move should Preval harm Ceant, or Aimer Haiti, in any way.

There are few in Haiti with a social conscience. Ceant is one of the few.
