Haiti - Social : First edition of the Haitian Leadership Academy

From April 4 to 6, Junior Chamber International (JCI Haiti) is organizing the first edition of the Leadership Academy, to strengthen the capacities of Young Leaders of Haiti, in the conference room of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Notre Dame d’Haiti.

This activity will take place under the theme “Uniting to act for effective leadership in Haiti,” aims to strengthen the capacity of young people, including members of local organizations JCI Haiti so that they are able to play their role in their communities as true leaders. Imbued with the values ​​of the JCI Haiti, the latter are called to lay the problems of their communities and to seek durable solutions.

Several personalities operating in various fields including : Simon Dieuseul, Jean Tolbert Alexis, Aviol Fleurant, Stanley Gaston, Jean Hugues Henrys, Joël Lorquet, Hérold Toussaint, Louis Boutaud de Lacombe and Jennifer Gracey directly from the United States will speak at this event on topics relating inter alia to the leadership and entrepreneurship, leadership and youth, leadership and interpersonal communications, leadership and human right, fight against corruption and social responsibility of citizens.

“At a time when our country is faced with great challenges of the time, JCI Haiti as civic organization should help prepare nurseries that will be able to take over and ensure a better future for the country,” declared ves Bernard Remarais, 2014 national President JCI Haiti.

This first edition of the Haitian Leadership Academy coincides with the visit to Haiti of Jennifer Gracey, International Vice-President of the Movement for the Americas, which will provide technical support for the implementation of the activity. She will also use his visit to meet some partners of the Junior Chamber in Haiti and members of JCI Haiti.
