ELECTORAL PROCESS – SEEMINGLY ACCEPTED BY INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY – ANOTHER INSULT TO THE HAITIAN ELECTORATE, AS CANADA AND USA CONTRIBUTE MILLIONS WITHOUT DEMANDING HONESTY: INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY VALIDATES THE ONGOING FARCE!!

The entire electoral process is another insult to the concept of free-and-fair-elections that should allow the voters an opportunity to select the candidate of their choice.

How can this be done, when President Martelly has admitted that he – personally – blocked the candidacy of ex-Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe who happens to be the most popular person in Haiti, at this moment?

Martelly also mentioned – in the same breath – that he had blocked his wife Sophia from participating in the election. This is a red herring since Sophia remains an American citizen, until the American Internal Revenue Service gives her a certificate of discharge. This could take years.

He blocked them, for the good of the Nation or so he said!

Since when is it up to Martelly to decide who the people vote for?

Martelly still controls the CEP!!!

However, Martelly isn’t the only one to move against the Lamothe candidacy.  There were numerous – questionable – segments, of Haitian society, that would rather see Lamothe trashed.

The CEP demanded a bribe of $400,000 USD to approve the Lamothe candidacy. Lamothe refused to pay.

One of Haiti’s banks is rumored to have paid the CEP $800,000 to reject the Lamothe candidacy.

Many in the drug community gave the CEP $$ to reject Lamothe.

CEP members have become instant millionaires!

In other words, there was a non-free-and-fair-electoral process, within the CEP, that saw Lamothe defeated before reaching the starting line. Had Lamothe paid the $400,000 his vote would probably have been over-balanced by the weight of funds from the anti-forces.

The International Community has always been willing to accept impossibly flawed election in Haiti, elections that would be rejected in any other developing nation.

Preval outwitted himself, in the electoral process that saw Martelly elected. At the time he saw Jean-Henry Ceant and Charles Baker as the real threat and managed to have them knocked out, leaving Celestin, Manigat, and Martelly.

When Celestin was disqualified, the rest was history.

Now, Preval aims to control Haiti’s Chamber of Deputies, during this election. If he wins here, he will name the Prime Minister, and control the country.

Presidential elections will become unimportant – perhaps non-existent.

Rene Preval is in motion. He will sponsor manifestations nationwide, against the CEP.

Preval sees Aristide and Martelly as his enemies. Martelly and Aristide have an understanding and Aristide paid Martelly millions to leave him alone.

Preval will not be so lenient a player.

The game is complex.

Preval is formidable.
