TIME TO STOP FOOLISHNESS – A FEW HUNDRED DEMONSTRATORS PLAN TO BLOCK CITY FOR 4 DAYS

December 9, 2014

Haiti has been infected with a fatal disease. If it isn’t treated – immediately – the Nation’s Security will be further compromised!!

It is time to stop and smell the roses.

People should have the right to demonstrate against the government, if they believe they have a just cause.

Sometimes the cause is simply frivolous.

Sometimes it is serious.

Sometimes it involves many people.

More often, than not, it involves a very small minority, who pay others to fill out their ranks.

The normal blueprint sees the demonstration starting in a bidonville, then following a lengthy paths through the various districts, gathering and losing people as it progresses… gaining people. What happens is simple.

The many have nothing to do – so they join the march, for a short time, enjoying the music and free drinks. After a while, they drop out to be replaced by others. There is no political motivation. The people are simply looking for entertainment – in their boring life.

So it is with the opposition demonstrations, planned for the next four days. A very few – probably less than a dozen – who will use Aristide’s funds to “pay demonstrators” buy rum and retain several music groups.  It must be understood that there is rarely a spontaneous demonstration in Haiti. They are all “paid” and one can tell the seriousness of the sponsors, by the size of the crowd.

A “Rule of Thumb.”

Anything under 10,000 is a paid event.

Anything more than 10,000 should be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, the media has a tendency to expand these crowds with the click of a key on their computers, expanding 200 to 2,000 – sometimes 20,000 – on occasion 100,000. So it is that the history of Haiti can be warped by dishonest reporters, and these outnumber the ones with integrity.

Having said this, the demonstrators should be limited to an area in front of whatever they are demonstrating against – THE PALACE, PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE… FINANCE… JUSTICE… HUMAN RIGHTS… DOG CATCHERS.. BAD MUSICIANS…. ETC.

There is absolutely no reason why a dozen malcontents – paid malcontents – should be allowed to disrupt the life of millions, derailing school attendance, market ladies selling things to support families, ambulances carrying the sick, MINUSTAH vehicles transporting the UN tourists.

The head of MINUSTAH, and the American ambassador, have injected their opinions into the process, insisting on the demonstrators’ rights. These Aristide agitators will use this outside, improper meddling to justify whatever they do.

Soon the Aristide, anti-everything agitators will organize the killing of a few demonstrators and the fat will be in the fire. Things will accelerate towards a predictable, disastrous end that will leave the Nation in chaos.

This problem must be snuffed now.

Any authorization, for demonstrations, should prohibit the blocking of streets. The demonstrators should pick their demonstration’s location and stick to it, with PNH protection.

All others must be arrested for creating a public disturbance, a threat to national security!

The VAST MAJORITY of Haiti’s 10,000,000 people support the Martelly/Lamothe government.

Do not allow a dozen criminals the right to block the Nation’s Life!!!

  1. I was recently blocked on the Aeroport road by about 30 marchers and 70 PNH people. Wasted over one hour to move 2 kilometers.

  2. Thanks again. We need bigger media outlets for the truth. If the international community decide to take these unpatriotics seriously then the Haitian diaspora need to protest infront of every embassy in the world in favor of the Martelly/Lamothe that is getting something done.
