Haiti - Justice : The Minister Casimir, honored by the Court of Appeal of PAP

Wednesday, during a tribute ceremony, placed under the sign of gratitude and of thanks, which was attended by the President of the Court of Appeal of Port au Prince, the Dean of the Court of First Instance of Port au Prince, the Bâtonnier of the Bar of Port-au-Prince, several personalities of the Justice sector, including the Minister Pierre-Richard Casimir, have been honored by the magistrates sitting and standing of the Court of Appeal.

Praising the dedication and dynamism of the Garde des Sceaux the President of the Court of Appeal delivered a plaque of honor to the Minister Casimir.

The Court of Appeal also honored Me Florence Mathieu for her 27-year career in the judiciary and awarded a plaque of honor to the Clerk Jean Marie Jocelyn which for 46 years has been dedicated to the proper functioning of justice.

In his remarks, the Minister Pierre-Richard Casimir said receiving the plaque of honor with humility. He took the opportunity to pay tribute to all the actors of justice in all jurisdictions of the country that, ay and night, sacrifice for justice to whom it is due “Often, to trying too hard criticize a single malicious actor, we drowning the effort of the judge who respects, the bailiff and clerk disciplined law-abiding,” which disagreed against extrapolations of those who believe that all judicial actors are immersed in corruption.

Me Jean Carvez Jean, the Government Commissioner at the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince, praised the dynamism of all the actors of the system while inviting them to redouble their efforts so that the results are better for the new year that comes.
