President Rene Preval has just completed a very, very, very confidential meeting with a number of close associates.
He is worried about opposition pressures and says he must confront the problem of “his enemies.”
He told those at the meeting that he must get rid of 11 or 12 before May 18. Among those attending were key gang leaders who will be given the assignment to “get rid of 11 or 12 opponents…”
Time will tell.
The pressure is on Preval and he is about to make some very bad moves.
Lives are at risk and Preval has never been hesitant to use a heavy hand.
