The entire Senate fiasco was an embarrassment to watch.
PNH Director General Michel-Ange Gedeon has been criminally deficient in his handling of responsibility. In any other nation he would be fired and charged criminally for his actions during the recent street violence.
A serious investigation would be initiated into his possible personal complicity with the Aristide/Lavalas involvement in the focused violence that saw some key businesses targeted – millions of dollars in damage done.
A serious investigation, into the source of funds used to purchase the Gedeon family’s $1,000,000 home in Coral Springs, and the substantial Bank of America accounts.
Of course, such investigations, by a Senate headed by Lambert – who is being criticized for paying $13,000 American per month to rent a house. And he just spent $900,000 on a home near Fermathe!
It would seem that the Senate would prefer to maintain the Gedeon Status Quo in order to maintain pressure on President Moise.
At least Haiti has Gary Bodeau, President of our Chamber of Deputies, who sees Chief Gedeon for the criminal he is – AND ATTACKS!
Haiti deserves better.
We are not optimistic!
Too many Lavalas elements involved!
The Senate will probably give Gedeon a Pass.
