Quake rattles Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic

An earthquake has rattled Haiti’s neighbouring nation, the Dominican Republic, as well as Puerto Rico.

The 5.6-magnitude quake early Saturday shook buildings, but no damage or injuries were reported.

Tremors felt in Haiti earlier this week were identified as aftershocks of the powerful quake that devastated the Caribbean country 10 months ago, but the U.S. Geological Survey says this one wasn’t related.

The 7.0-magnitude quake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12 killed nearly 300,000 people and left millions homeless.
