The Social Media has seen this material ricocheting around like a pinball in a tornado, but we must ponder, we must think before we shoot!
Each day we receive all sorts of colorful material, but must sit an analyze the true meaning, the true goal, the true target of the more colorful items. The best pieces of propaganda, in the ongoing Whatsapp Psywar that blankets our society each day, have Truth mixed with the bulk of the words.
Such was the item – carrying the title POUVOIR TET KALE: LES CAPITAINES SE CHAMAILLENT, LE BATEAU COULE – which roughly translates – POWER OF TET KALE: THE CAPTAINS FIGHT AS THEIR BOAT SINKS
A great story!
But what is the TRUE goal of the item?
What does it wish to accomplish?
In controversial pieces like this, the goal is often not apparent.
It would seem to be a duel between the Michel Martelly – Jovenel Moise camps.
But, is this true.
I read it through, a number of times, in the original French, and then in an English traduction.
Dynamite stuff, but too conveniently so.
I am reminded of a situation in the Lybian desert during World War Two when Rommel’s German Africa Corp was battling the British 8th Army.
It was in the total desert darkness, when two German battalians stopped for the night, on opposite sides of a narrow dry riverbed.
Neither knew of the other’s presence.
A team of British commandos drove into the riverbed to a point between the two German units and started shooting in both directions. The German units each thought they were under attack, from their enemy on the other side of the riverbed and opened fire with devastating results.
The British commandos drove away as the German units destroyed each other.
So it is with this Martelly – Moise confrontation.
Who leads the commando team, in the riverbed, shooting at the Martelly team, on one side, and the Moise team on the other?
It would seem to be a simple DIVIDE AND CONQUER FORMULA in which someone wants a wedge driven between Jovenel Moise and his collaborators inside, and outside the Palace. Ardouin Zéphirin is a major target because of his closeness to the President. Among other things, Zephirin has been a key element in there.
The article makes it seem as though the combat is between MARTELLY and MOISE but it isn’t. It is a plain and simple attempt to break Zepherin, and others away from Moise, and then Moise will be eaten up by his opponents.
It is a tried and true formula, having been used in politics for centuries.
Something fewer than a dozen key figures control the game to destabilize the Jovenel Moise Presidency. In the past, they used their own cash to put demonstrators on the streets. Now, they have an unlimited source of funding from the Maduro/Venezuela, and Peoples Republic of China cash registers with their own motivation: The embarrassment of the Donald Trump government.
Haiti is a battleground for these two Sovereign States, using our internal strife as their weapon.
A scorched earth policy: There are Haitian elements that would welcome the destruction of both Martelly and Moise, leaving an open field for themselves, with no concern about the collateral damage to our society as a whole.
It is time to reset the clock and move forward. To do otherwise will create and ongoing, and accelerating disaster with no end, just the permanent Haitian love for TRANSITION – NEVER PERMANENCE.
