PNH THREATENS A STRIKE IN PROTEST AGAINST ASSASSINATION OF PNH OFFICER BY PARLIAMENTARIAN’S CHAUFFEUR

The entire PNH force has threatened a 24 hour strike in protest. The recent assassination of a PNH officer by the chauffeur of a Depute, who just happened to be the Depute’s cousin. The chauffeur was involved in an altercation and PNH officers were called. When they arrived on the scene they discovered the aggresor was the Depute’s cousin, who just happened to be waving an illegal, unregistered firearm. He was arrested. Minister of Justice Brunache demanded his release and the man was turned out of the jail. Two hours later the arresting PNH officer was murdered.

The strike was supposed to start at 10 PM April 22, extending to 10PM April 23. Barricades were erected on key routes, but went unmanned.
There has been accelerating violence and this evening may prove to be a hot one.

Dozens of PNH officers have been murdered over the past months, adding to the atmosphere of insecurity.
