Martelly addressed the nation, and the world, as it looked like the Haitian Parliament is about to reject his choice of Bernard Gousse as Prime Minister.
He said that he had sent his choice for Prime Minister, to the Senate and Chamber of Deputies.
When asked what he would do if the Parliament rejected his choice he said that he was not weak, if they thought so. He said that he would rather resign than accept this and he was not about to resign.
He said that he was going to fight!
It would seem that Michel Martelly is not about to accept any rejection of Bernard Gousse and send in a third nominee.
And he shouldn’t.
The basic reason for the INITE/American embassy rejection of Gousse is based upon the fact that Gousse, as Minister of Justice, had the audacity to arrest several murderers who happened to be key members of the 2004 Aristide government, thought to have been acting of Aristide’s direct orders when they coordinated a massacre in St. Marc during February, 2004 immediately before Aristide’s flight into exile.
Part of the massacre was carried out by Aristide’s personal helicopter, flown by Aristide’s personal pilot – Frantz Gabriel – as it machine-gunned fleeing women and children. Each flight, of the helicopter, required Aristide’s personal authorization and his signature can be seen in the aircraft logbooks, authorizing the murder flights.
Videotape shows Yvon Neptune, Aristide’s Prime Minister, in St Marc, congratulating the killers.
Neptune was one of the men arrested by Gousse.
The next few days will be interesting.
Perhaps, this is the beginning of the end for Aristide, Preval, and their cabal of killers.
The dead from St. Marc. February 2004, Marie Durocher-Bertin, Robert Marcello, Father Jean Marie Vincent, Ti Jean, Sylvio Claude, Pastor Leroy, Dr. Roger Lafontant, General Max Mayard and countless others are waiting for Justice.
