Privert has no shame!
The “Hero of la Scerie” went on the local radio stations to tell the world our people, our political parties, were all pressing him for the commission to review and recount the ballots from our first round in October.
Other than a few vocal people – probably paid by Privert to make statements – there is absolutely no local interest in holding a review or recount.
The vast majority of Haitians accept that the first round last fall left two leading candidates in the run-off.

So what is the point of proving that some guy, in Bombardopolis, spelled his name wrong on the documentation?!!
There was an earlier commission that reported “there was a lot of evidence of ineptitude, but few cases of fraud…” In other words, they found many examples of ineptitude – such as the guy in Bombardopolis who forgot how to spell his name – and few cases in which someone intentionally committed fraud.
This conclusion was supported by the more than 1500 foreign observers who said the election was a good one.
The run-off should continue, without delay.
Unfortunately, delay is exactly what Privert and CEP President Berlanger have in mind.
Their motivation differs.
Berlanger is a simple criminal. He is doing this for cash. People pay him and he dances to their tune, even if the tune is not in support of National needs. Doesn’t matter. Berlanger is a whore who will do the deed for anyone with cash.
Privert, on the other hand, wants to remain in power. He loves power. He really sees himself as President, and doesn’t let anyone forget this. He would smother his mother, in order to prolong his term, and he is doing everything, and everything to attain his goal.
He has a printing firm, in the Dominican Republic, printing counterfeit ballots. These will be used to corrupt whatever recount/re-evaluation his criminal coordinate.
The counterfeit ballots will be used to prove Jovenel Moise did not lead the first round.
We will see a situation in which the run-off includes one of Moise Jean-Charles or Maryse Narcisse… or both.
Privert – and his entire cabinet, staff are all Lavalas. It looks like a Preval office. And, we should understand that Aristide and Preval ae not enemies. It is now a good cop, bad cop game.
Privert is lucky there is no real “Grass Roots” in Haiti. If it existed, the vast majority would rebel and run him out of office, perhaps even burn his home to the ground.
In some countries, he would be shot!
Privert is lucky we live in Haiti where this custom does not exist.
Instead, children simply starve to death because of Privert’s criminality.
Our children, and their childrens’ children demand an immediate run-off election to install an elected, legitimate President, not continued toleration of a criminal sociopath like the “Hero of la Scerie” Privert.
