While presentation of the report of the Special Commission responsible for examining the documents of the Prime Minister-designate, will take place tomorrow Thursday at the Lower House, before the Assembly of Deputies, for a favorable vote or not of ratification of Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, the Deputy Jean Tholbert Alexis declare Tuesday that the block GPR had not yet taken a position and no instructions of vote had until now been given.

The Deputy Alexis said, that in the framework of negotiations, the GPR had to meet on Wednesday the Prime Minister-designate, an approach consistent with the internal rules of the House he said. The Deputy states that the concern of most of his colleagues is to give the country a new government quickly, but added, that his words did not mean that the majority would vote in the sense or not of the ratification of the candidate for Prime Minister.

Levaillant Louis-Jeune, President of the Chamber Monday had denounced some haste in the work of the Commission, noting that it had taken only 48 hours to complete his report, doubting the seriousness of it, wondering if the members of the Commission had really taken the time to investigate on the documents of Prime Minister… Deploring the lack of recourse of Office of the Chamber face of this situation, which now faces before the facts accomplished.

Laurent, a close friend of Martelly, was seen as a shoe-in for the Prime Minister’s positron. In fact, Martelly had spoken of Laurent Lamothe as his replacement, when his presidency ends. Lamothe has been foolish enough to make dumb moves, such as receiving several delegations in the President’s office of the National palace.

This is a dumb move, and ignores basic protocol.

After all, Martelly is still President and he didn’t appreciate Laurent Lamothe’s attempt to grab “center stage.”  Lamothe’s star is waning even before he got to sit in the Prime Minister’s chair.

He will be lucky to hold onto Foreign Affairs.

And the Global Voice scandal continues to grow, even though Lamothe has a Fort Lauderdale law firm that threatens anyone who mentions this in print. Lamothe is rumored to be considering changing the name Global Voice, to something else. If there is a pile of poo out there, changing its name will make no difference.

It will still smell like poo.

Lamothe is toast.
