Since the first days of his Presidency, Jovenel Moise has undertaken an in-depth study of the Nation’s river systems, and their potential as building blocks for his agricultural vision.
Each day there is rain, millions, sometimes billions pf precious gallons are wasted as they flow, unchecked into the ocean, carrying with tons of valuable, irreplaceable topsoil. If you fly over the point where a river empties into the sea, you will see a vast cloud of soil that darkens the water.
Without President Moise’s proposed Barage system, the water might finally run clear, with our topsoil completely washed away.
Starvation, on a massive scale would follow.
President Moise has set in motion a series of projects that will harness this valuable asset, God’s Gift of Water, creating man-made lakes for use in support of Haiti’s reviving agricultural industry.
The photographs shown here are of work on the Barage sur la rivière Marion dans le Nord Est.
The International community is firmly behind President Moise.
Unfortunately, for Haiti, we have Haitians who maneuver for the collapse of the Jovenel Moise government, in their quest to gain power for themselves.
Water is life and we must honor and respect this very special, and scarce element, in our national treasury.
