During a VISION 2000 interview Jean-Robert Simonis came out strongly against President Rene Preval’s efforts to destroy (amend) Haiti’s Constitution of 1987. This document was originally approved by a massive majority of Haiti’s voting public, during a referendum in 1987. Preval now sets about ignoring the will of Haiti’s masses, in a personal attempt to have  the existing Chamber of Deputies/Senate vote for his new document, that would effectively give Preval total control of this Nation.

Preval has bought and paid for the support of the present Parliament, so anything it does is done fore personal gain, on the direct orders of Rene Preval.

Simonis, an ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and now a member of Preval’s inner circle made the surprising attack with widespread public attention.

Obviously the rats are abandoning Preval’s sinking ship.

Who will be next to turn??

Many are fearful of what future they might face when Preval runs for exile, abandoning them to street and legal justice.
