Yesterday Tuesday, the Senate bureau was finally formed less than 48 hours after the opening of the first regular session of the 2018 legislative year, without surprise the South-East Senator Joseph Lambert was appointed as President of the Senate for the second time, replacing Youri atortue, he is also President of the National Assembly. Here is the composition of the bureau that has a one-year term :

“I am the senator from the South East, I am the new President of the Senate, I have been elected with 28 out of 29 possible votes, a new beginning for a more dynamic, productive and balanced Senate !” declared Joseph Lambert, adding “I am aware of the peculiarity that characterizes my new function, such as the current Constitution makes the Legislative Power the Co Depositary of National Sovereignty.”
For their part the deputies are convened this Wednesday at 2:00 pm for the election of their bureau.
