It has been a sad and sorry week for Haiti as the already fractious Martelly White House starts to disintegrate, even as the Nation slides towards a disastrously uncoordinated, criminally corrupt electoral process.

Martelly and Preval, with Aristide, in the background, have already planned the distribution of spoils from the vote next Sunday, even though fewer than 20 will probably turn out to decide who controls our destiny.

But that is the Martelly/Preval plan that will see a Senate and Chamber of Deputies chosen, and then have things frozen after that.

There will be no Presidential election.

Next Sunday is all you get!

Even as this train wreck approaches, Valerie Milfort is fighting with other White House leaders. Gregory Mayard-Paul is fighting with other White House Leaders.

Sophia and Roro Nelson are fighting with everyone, and so it goes.

Martelly is sniffing coke and this makes him paranoid. The paranoia leads to obscene outburst like the one when some poor lady asked about the lack of electricity.

The Nation is in neutral, as Martelly wobbles along on auto-pilot.

Some see the instability as an opportunity. One such player is Nesmy Manigat, Minister of Education, who has launched an open and aggressive streak of total corrupt actions, not caring who knows. If anyone complains, he can pay them to go away.

Manigat is sharing millions with the palace.

Haiti is rapidly sliding towards the abyss and no one is in the control room, steering the Ship of State.

And…. The International Community stands ready to validate whatever crime in committed with the vote next Sunday. They have done the same thing in the past – Aristide – Preval – so why should 2015 be any different.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

  1. PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haïti – Selon le rapport, le célèbre promoteur Haïti Dream Promo, Hugline Jérôme a été agressée physiquement par Roro Nelson, le bon ami du président Martelly.

    Daprès le site Haitianbeatz.com, l’incident a eu lieu lors de la soirée du 23e anniversaire de Tvice à moulin sur Mer. L’altercation qui s’est passée au cours d’une dispute pour un lopin de terre que Roro Nelson aurait volé qui appartient à Hugline.
    Selon des témoins oculaires, Hugline a confrontée Roro Nelson sur la question. Durant la dispute Roro s’est énervée et l’a ensuite frappée au cou. Le président Martelly qui était seulement à quelques pieds de l’incident, s’est immédiatement intervenu entre Hugline et Roro pour les séparer et les calmer.

  2. Attendez-vous à moins de 2% le taux de participation à l’élection. Martelly pourrait voler 12 sièges au Sénat. Cela lui donnera effectivement le contrôle. Préval aussi un danger. Opposition ne comptent pas car ils ont pas d’argent pour faire campagne. Martelly et Préval ont volé des millions à utiliser. $ Acheter démocratie démocratiquement.

  3. As an observer of Haitian politics I see a disaster created by our international community, led by the American embassy. They have created a monster and, instead of getting rid of it, will perpetuate the crime under another disguise.

    Success of this Sunday’s election is not possible.

    There is no campaign by those opposed. Martelly and Preval are spending millions to capture the Nation while those who could save it have been barred, as candidates, or have no money for promotion.

    Democratic elections have been a farce in Haiti since forst attempted.

    The majority never has a voice.
