Foreign doctors under contract are resorting to amputation when this procedure would never be used in the States, or other civilized countries, under similar circumstances. The would have their licenses revoked and be sued for major fortunes. Unfortunately, Haitians do not have such a recourse and must suffer in silence, not even knowing who the doctors are, where they came from or who pays them. Injured Haitians have begged the doctors…”Don’t cut off my limbs….” The doctors ignore these pleas, from people who don’t speak English and chop away.
In some circumstances, amputation is the only recourse, because of advanced infection.
Unfortunately, in many cases, it is simply the most expedient approach to get through a greater volume and increase the doctor’s personal income.
Many Haitian doctors are outraged.
The foreign mercenaries are creating cripples in a country where cripples cannot survive.
Something must be done!!!

Last Evening, at 1800 hours EDT a 5.5 aftershock, focused in the water off Miragoane, shook Haiti. Numerous house and other buildings, weakened by the quake and other aftershocks collapsed. In some cases more people were killed or injured.

Dear STANLEY LUCAS seems to have become a Preval apologist, or has the Republican Party in the States changed focus to left-wing, friends of Castro, Chavez, Putin and other South American leaders cut from the same cloth?? Lucas is a modern day camp follower, for sale to the highest bidder. He tells Haitians – in Haiti – that he can cure any problem in the States – for money. And he tells the Americans he can solve any Haitian problem for them – in return for 30 pieces of silver.

BMI – a special PNH – police strike force was faced with a potential mutiny yesterday when senior members of the team loaded 4 trucks with food, and then drove off without sharing the stolen goods with junior members of their staff.

I have just visited the MISSION OF HOPE facility on the Port-au-Prince to St Marc Road. It is an amazing operation with a lot of visiting American surgeons. To date, they have not had to amputate a single limb. NOT ONE. They resort to reconstructive surgery to save the damaged part.
The MISSION is feeding 100,000 per day and comments upon the UN blocking food supplies, as does the Preval government.
