Current cooperation programs include the areas of education, agriculture, fishing, the metal industry and public health, PL news agency reported.

According to official statistics, since Cuba started medical cooperation with Haiti in 1998 and up to late July 2012, nearly 19.2 million patients were assisted, including six million persons who were treated in their own homes.
