Regarding the investigation the Minister said “I thank in particular the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), the Office of Financial and Economic Affairs (BAFE) and the National Police of Haiti (PNH) for their support […] Also, thank you to the countries [where some of the culprits have taken refuge] who are accompanying us as part of this investigation into the Ministry,” said Minister Saint Albin adding “about the battle against corruption and fake checks, the investigation continues within the Ministry and more than 10 people have already been arrested […]” to avoid interfering in the ongoing judicial investigation, the Minister refrained from giving more details on this forger network case .
Moreover, concerning the holiday season, Saint-Albin said “the Ministry of the Interior will remain vigilant while helping the members of the population who are most in need, so that they find the means to spend good holidays. There will be a special attention to the public places of the Champ de Mars, through the initiative ‘Nwel Chanjman’ under the patronage of the First Lady Martine Moïse. At the same time, for the end of year festivities, arrangements will be made to strengthen the police presence to guarantee peace and serenity in the streets.”
