When Aristide departed, the American government stood aside as the French sent forces into Haiti. The United States then abandoned Haiti to the UN when all the Haitians wanted was 300 Marines.
Now French Chancellor Alain Juppe has promised the Martelly government assistance in reviving the Forces Armees d’Haiti. The Americans want the army, but have been to weak-kneed to state their true desires, preferring to hide behind weak statements.
Now the French have stepped in a said they will coordinate the training, giving them a very strong, long-term foothold in Haiti as America abandons Haiti. No wonder this place is becoming Anti-American.
The Obama team could have gained the support of Haiti’s majority with the promise to revive the FAdH. Had they promised to cover the cost of back wages for the FAdH people, illegally dumped by Aristide, they would have won the hearts of the people.
Instead, the Americans listened to a few ill-informed human rights groups, that never get the facts straight.
Haiti needs the FAdH.
Rather than face this fact, the US Government promised Martelly millions, for the PNH – if he agreed to shelve his plans for the revived military.
Another, in a long line, of missed opportunity…But what’s new??
You see, I definitely dismiss you as an educated journalist an I am going to stop reading this “garbage”.

I have watched the FAdH problem since my brother served on the American staff in Haiti. The facts relayed in this article are the facts, as they exist and the situation is not controversial.
The Americans had the chance – several months ago – to gain Brownie Points by advancing the money required to cover FAdH back-wages. Had they acted then, no one else would be in the game and they would control the field.
In fact – behind the scenes – American support a revived FAdH. They don’t want to put their boots on the ground but would support a surrogate trainer, such as the Israelis.
Now the trainer will be French.
Now, any action they might take will be on the French Coattails – another loss of face for my fellow Americans.
If you cannot see this then you are an idiot with little chance of salvation.
But then, you are no longer reading our material so these words are wasted.
Americans don’t help no one but themselves. What ever they give you you better know it comes with a greater cost. America has colonized Haiti for decades. And the world knows it. They do what they do best look good. The reality is they are exploiting the little bit that Haiti has. We may not be educated as far as reading and writing but we know that we are a rich country and no one can take that away no one can take our pride. America can’t take away our amazing history. We don’t believe in their lies that we are poor and corupt. If we are corupt is only because you have made us that way. Its so sad to see the one thing the Haitians did not want to happened to our belove ayiti cheri we are helpless while she is being sold to the big corporations. The president want invastors to invest in haiti but the truth is he is selling the country to be privatize. therefore there’s no hope for the poor.
